Why wear grappling socks or socks for BJJ, MMA and Grappling? Here is a quick list of benefits which our happy customers have found...

  • Protection from infections like athletes foot, staph or verrucae

  • Protection from mat burn

  • Protect your toes, especially if you have dislocated or broken them before

  • Keep your feet warm in the winter

  • Enhanced grip for performance

  • Support your feet and ankle

Let's tell you more about our socks...

Before developing Warrior Grips socks, we did some pretty extensive market research and tried loads of options on the mats to work out what was best.

This was predominantly led by the owner of Warrior grips, Sam Chidwick, who is a Sports Podiatrist and Jiu-Jitsu Purple belt with a history of toe injuries from years of Karate prior to Jiu-Jitsu.

We used this research to develop Warrior Grips...

We focused on material selection, using cottons with moisture wicking properties which do not let your feet get too slippy inside. This prevents the feet moving inside the socks and keeps them in place.

We added midfoot and ankle compression for comfort and to try and offer support to the foot and ankle where needed.

We designed our "Shield Wall" grippers to be tough and enduring, and offer the optimum grip and grip placement. This was based on size, location and material selection. We wanted them to be grippy when standing to grapple, but then not too grippy so that you could move freely and slide your feet as you roll and spar.

One example is trying to throw on a triangle. If the socks have too many grippers, especially on the sides of them as some grip socks do, some common BJJ techniques are made a lot more challenging. We believe that Warrior Grips offer the best set up possible and are the best BJJ socks and the best socks for grappling all round.
